WHO WE ARE

Revive (Grades 6-8)

A junior youth group to bridge the gap between Children's Church and senior youth, opening up the scope of Bible study and beginning the process of critical thinking.

The Revive group is instructed and equipped in the "why" and "how" of Sunday services, and given the opportunity to practice engagement while they move toward full participation.

The specific aim of this group is to explore the faith, gain a solid foundation in the Bible's teaching about God (a.k.a. "theology"), and discover their unique gifts and affinities.

What we're learning this year

Two Sundays per month, Revive meets in the youth room during the sermon. Another two Sundays, they meet after the service for lunch and learning. The eventual goal is to work on our ability to engage Sunday sermons and understand the purpose of NACC's liturgy. (Liturgy means "what we do in the church service.")

For Fall 2022, Revive will continue studying the scroll of Samuel, especially the lesser known stories. We will also be learning the basics of reformed theology, using the Dwell Dive series. Our discussions will focus on answering these three questions:

  1. Who am I?
  2. Where do I fit?
  3. What difference do I make?
