Nelson Avenue Seniors is a social group for people 55 years old or more who meet once a week for fun and fellowship. They have been meeting since 1989, and continue to enjoy one another's company. Newcomers are always welcome.
Who is it for?
Anyone who is around 55 or older is welcome to come. They love to have new people join us!
What happens at Seniors?
Their morning begins with coffee and fellowship, and usually a game of pool. An experienced instructor then leads in some gentle exercises followed by carpet bowling, a game of cards, and some more pool after which they eat a light lunch. Occasionally soup is provided. Some outings are planned during the year. A special lunch or dinner is planned for Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving, with a short program of singing and other entertainment.
