According to the most recent update on Nov 30 from the Provincial Health Officer, Dr Bonnie Henry, there are new orders in place to support faith leaders in reducing the risk of COVID-19 to their congregants during worship services. This is necessary as we move into the season for greater gatherings for worship purposes and associated social interaction. This is also during a time when we expect to see an increased seasonal risk of COVID—19 transmission.
Therefore we would like to remind our NACC community to observe the following precautions. Most of these are not new for us, as we have already been exercising extra caution.
- Assess yourself for symptoms of COVID-19 and stay home if sick.
- Clean your hands frequently.
- Everyone eligible is encouraged to be fully vaccinated.
- Everyone ages 5 and older is asked to wear a mask. Please note: this is new for NACC, as prior to this masking was required for ages 12 and up.
Thank you for your cooperation, as we show God’s love to each other in these ways. Please feel free to contact to any of us with questions or concerns.
Serving God with you,
The Covid Response Team
