Here is a quick update regarding the process Angela Elliott is presently going through as she seeks ordination as a Commissioned Pastor in the Christian Reformed Church.
· Nelson Ave has sent various documents to our Classis (the regional group of Christian Reformed churches in BC) in preparation for Angela's exam at its upcoming meeting in March.
· At the present time Angela is studying for her upcoming Classical exam and preparing for her Classical sermon. She is on break from her duties as an Elder and Pastor Intern in order to focus on the exam and the sermon
· Next Sunday (February 17) Angela will preach her required "Classical sermon" in the morning service. A couple of members of Classis will be present in the service to evaluate her sermon and her preaching. If you meet them, please make them feel welcome to Nelson Ave!
. On Wednesday, March 6 (probably about mid-morning) Angela will be examined at the Classis at meeting at the New Westminster CRC (8255 13th Ave, Burnaby). Members of Nelson Ave are very much welcome and encouraged to come to the meeting to witness the exam and support Angela.
During the upcoming weeks we pray in faith that the Spirit of Jesus would rest upon Angela giving her peace, strength and even joy in all of her preparations.
