We will focus on the theme of "thanksgiving" during our October 12 service:

During the service, you will be invited to write on a piece of paper one or more items for which you are thankful, and to bring this piece of paper forward.

You will have an opportunity during the service to verbally share things for which you are thankful to God.

Finally, as a response of gratitude for God's generosity toward us, please consider bringing one or more non-perishable food items to the service. At a designated time in the service, you will be invited to bring these items forward as an offering for the High Gate outreach (End Homelessness, The Neighbourhood Church).
We also encourage you to consider the theme of Thanksgiving outside of our Sunday service:

If you are having a Thanksgiving dinner that weekend, consider inviting someone or a family from the church (maybe someone you don't know very well) to join you.

In the next week, spend time "counting your blessings"—make a list of all the things you are thankful for.
