The Society to End Homelessness endeavours to advocate for the needs of the homeless and marginalized, working with volunteers, local government,and many social service agencies.
Weekly Outreach Resource Centres (ORC) are designed to be a "One-Stop Shop" of services for our vulnerable neighbours so they can easily access basic life necessities and resources for social aid in one convenient location. The ORC provides a welcoming non-judgemental atmosphere where our guests can access support with dignity. Our 2 locations operate weekly Wednesday and Thursday in South Burnaby. Our Thursday ORC is our main outreach in Edmonds with the most services offered and the Wednesday sessions is a “pop up” location offered in the Metrotown area. Offered are:
- Hot meals
- Hot showers
- WIFI
- Clothing
- Hygiene supplies
- Harm Reduction supplies
