PRAY FOR UKRAINE
 
As the war in Ukraine rages on, we pray that Jesus, the Prince of Peace will come and bring peace to that region. We pray that Putin's heart will be changed. To us this might seem impossible, but to you nothing is impossible.
We pray for the people of Ukraine, those who have fled to neighbouring countries, those who continue to live in Ukraine and are suffering from the consequences of war, who's homes are being bombed, and those like in the besieged city of Mariupol who are running out of food, water and heat. We thank you Lorrd that 20,000 people that were able to leave Mariupol. We lift up those soldiers and civilians that are actively fighting the Russians. May they stay safe. We also pray for the people in Russia who are protesting against the war and paying the price.
Dear Lord, we thank you that you reign supreme over all the earth, including those who are involved in this war. We thank you that you are at work, even if we can't see the evidence of that. We continue to lift up the country of Ukraine and all the needs, far too many to list, resulting from the war. Come Jesus, Prince of Peace we need you.
ALBERTA PROMOTING CANADIAN OIL AND GAS AS A WAY TO NOT BUY FROM RUSSIA

Countries are scrambling to not be dependent on Russian oil.  We pray for wisdom for our leaders in balancing the tipping point reality of needed climate action with the common sense of in the meantime utilizing oil from countries with more regulations.  

God of all wisdom, we need wisdom in this transition time.  Realities of war, finance, fossil fuel dependency, climate change are all bearing down on our leaders and we pray for wise insight and a clarity of consequences. Open eyes to new possibilities that do not trade one crisis’ solution for another’s exacerbation. Help us not harm but help to heal your created good world in moments of decision.  

6TH FIRE IN ONE YEAR AT BANGLADESH ROHINGYA REFUGEE CAMP.

A blaze has swept through a Rohingya refugee camp in southeastern Bangladesh, killing a six-year-old boy and leaving about 2,000 people homeless in the sixth fire this year to hit the world’s largest refugee camp, officials and witnesses said.

The fire was in  Kutupalong camp in Cox’s Bazar, a border district where more than a million mostly Muslim Rohingya refugees live — most having fled a military-led crackdown in neighbouring Myanmar in 2017.

Lord we pray for this refugee camp that has had fire after fire, furthering loss and upheaval.  Have mercy and bring this community of people a measure of peace, stability.  Protect the children, and provide resources so that the settlement is safe.  We pray for an end to violence that has sent them from their homes.   Lord, have mercy.
