The events of the past couple weeks in Afghanistan are not “arms-length” news bites for family members, friends, or previous co-workers of people in our Afghan community whose lives are in grave danger as the Taliban takes over the country. In the sixteen-year interval, JHC has helped resettle over 160 refugees from Afghanistan alone. These are people who have become dear friends and are a significant part of our community.

Sat Oct 2, 2021 – Central Park Burnaby 8:30 AM to noon with food and celebration at 1:00 PM Team members will head out with Covid-safe protocols at the time they choose for their own ride/walk.
You can walk or ride various distances from this location. Individuals or groups can participate by joining the team or donating and walking individually or in groups and riding any route or distance.
There will be maps of suggested routes, group photos, teams can ride or walk together, water and some goodies for all.
