Nelson Avenue Community Church is a member of the Christian Reformed Church of North America denomination www.crcna.org. Convocations of all the churches are held once a year in June and a regional session in October and March. The church is governed locally by a Board of Elders and Deacons. The church membership (membership is by profession of faith in Jesus Christ and approval of the elders) meets twice yearly to make decisions. The pastor is an equal member and works under the auspices of the board.
